Make an Impact

Green Iglu is always looking for talented individuals who are passionate about food sovereignty. Join us in our mission to build, grow, and empower a food secure Canada!

Green Iglu started off with a majority of its members being volunteers. We appreciate everyone who has been involved over the years contributing their time, we simply couldn’t have done it without this hard work. As a rapidly growing organization, we understand the immense value that volunteers bring to this day.

We are always welcoming volunteers, and we aim to create opportunities that are both meaningful and valuable for each individual stepping foot into this organization. This allows volunteers to utilize and hone their skills to maximize their impact with Green Iglu.

Fundraising Assistant

For a charity like Green Iglu, fundraising is key to be able to continue working towards our goal of ensuring a food secure future for all.

Educational Program Assistant

Green Iglu's educational programming is tailored to the needs and wants of the communities we work with. The content is meant to engage learners of all ages, particularly at schools. This helps create community engagement across generations with the project and improves long term success.

Digital Communications Assistant

Having an online presence is important to be visible in the charity space. The purpose of this role is to help our Marketing Director create and post social media content to excite people about the important work that needs to be done to ensure a food secure future for all.

Community Helper

When we go to a partner community to help implement a project, there is a lot of work that needs to be done in a short amount of time.  Therefore being able to get a few helping hands both before and during the building and setting up the projects is very important.
There are currently no careers being offered. Keep an eye out for job postings as advertised on our social media channels! Head over to our volunteers tab if you are eager to get involved today, we are always welcoming volunteers.

Green Iglu recognizes that our organization was founded in Tkaronto (Toronto) on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Acknowledging the spirit of peace, friendship and respect that moves through the Dish With One Spoon territory, we strive to replenish and never empty the dish. We are also grateful to be invited onto other nations with their own jurisdictions.
